2005 – BMW 1200 GS, Chassis No. WB10307A15ZR20645 Engine No. 122ED 0505 6598

Spanish registration certificate; Spanish roadworthiness test up to date First registered in 2005, the BMW R 1200 GS is part of the illustrious line-up of road-going adventure bikes that BMW has established with the GS series. As the successor to the R 1150 GS, it heralds a new generation – lighter and more powerful – which would go on to significantly bolster the model’s reputation. It is powered by a 1,170 cm³ air- and oil-cooled flat-twin ‘boxer’ engine, which produces around 100 ch and is paired with a six-speed gearbox. This engine, smooth and full of character, is part of the bike’s identity: it offers generous top-end power, whilst retaining the robustness and ease of maintenance for which the range is renowned. Comfortable, durable and reassuring, the R 1200 GS is just as at home on the road – for long journeys with a passenger or solo – as it is on off-road tracks, where it remains surprisingly manoeuvrable for its size. This versatility has enabled it to establish itself very quickly as one of BMW’s leading models in the adventure bike segment. The 2005 model year thus marks an important milestone in the evolution of the GS family, now one of the German brand’s most iconic ranges, and remains a benchmark for long-distance travellers. This example, in perfect condition, has been regularly serviced and has a certified mileage of 21,275 kilometres from new. Having remained in the hands of the same owner since purchase, it is sure to win over its future owner with all its qualities.
