Rectangular, the hinged covers opening to reveal an icon of St Eugenia, flanked by St Alexander Nevsky and St Mary Magdalene, all within cloisonné enamelled mounts with geometric motifs, the covers and a hinged pendant loop similarly enamelled, the plain silver-gilt back engraved with a date in Russian '24 December 1888', marked on the reverse with maker's mark; in the original fitted Ovchinnikov leather case
