Boat-form with straight sides and upturned ends. Hinged and inset cover same as is finial to which is mounted cast figure of an elephant, a joyful beast with upturned trunk and gaping mouth. Box interior cedar-lined and partitioned. Marked “Sterling / 500”. Very good condition. Overall dimensions: H 3 1/2 x W 8 1/2 x D 5 1/4 in. Gross weight: 23.6 troy ounces. #CC996
