Made by Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings Shepherd in London, 1886-89. This set comprises 3 pieces: mustard pot, open salt, and pepper shaker. Truncated conical bowls; side handles open scroll bracket (mustard and pepper) and solid lunette (salt). Butler finish with gilt stripes. Covers and interiors gilt. Mustard cover hinged. Pepper cover has pierced top and tapering rim. Fully marked including date letters for 1886 (pepper bowl), 1888 (mustard pot), and 1889 (pepper cover and salt). Very good condition.
