Barbe-Rouge Comic Book - The Demon of the Caribbean - Dargaud Reprint, 1975 Comic Book: The Demon of the Caribbean - An adventure of Barbe-Rouge, the eponymous first volume of the series, written by Jean-Michel Charlier and illustrated by Victor Hubinon. A beautiful hardcover reprint published by Dargaud in the mid-1970s. Details of this copy: Publisher: Dargaud Éditeur Effective legal deposit date: 2nd quarter of 1975 (No. 938) Original copyright: © Dargaud Éditeur 1961 ISBN: 2-205-00097-7 Specific Notes: Copyright notices and exclusive distribution rights for Canada (Dargaud Canada 1961 / Distributions Éclair) are visible on an inside page. Printer: Printed in Italy - F.lli Pagano - Genoa Back Cover: The “Previously Published Albums” catalog ends with the title *Le Vaisseau de l’Enfer* (originally published in 1974), which perfectly matches the chronology of this edition printed in 1975. Overall Condition: The album is in good used condition. The hardcover (front cover) retains a fresh appearance with its iconic illustration and well-preserved colors. The back cover (reverse side) on a white background remains clean despite a few minor storage marks and slight foxing due to age. The corners and edges show normal signs of wear at the extremities, but the structure remains firm. The interior pages are clean and firmly bound to the cover. A very fine copy for collectors wishing to trace the very earliest origins of the most famous pirate in Franco-Belgian comics in a well-preserved vintage edition.
