Sterling silver large Tazza dish, Carl Poul Petersen Montreal, circa 1940. Plain on pedestal base, slightly scalloped with corn husk intervals. Measures: Diameter 10 inches, height 1.75 inches. Weight: 509 grams. (16.36 oz). Very good condition. Petersen (1895-1977), married Georg Jensen's daughter and emigrated from Denmark to Montreal in 1929. First employed by Henry Birks & Sons. Founded his own firm in 1944, Petersen's three sons were his first apprentices. From 1947 onwards becoming very successful, the firm of C.P.
