Carpet - 215 cm - 120 cm - Chinese rug

An oval floral medallion and a decoratively curved border define this hand-knotted wool Oriental rug. The warm beige ground beautifully showcases the floral motifs in rose, pink, and soft greens. In the center lies an elongated cream-colored medallion with a lush bouquet. Stylized roses, smaller flowers and green leaves form its focal point. Curved ornaments in rose and mauve encircle the medallion and echo the shapes of the surrounding border. Along the edges, flower stems, leaf motifs and decorative flourishes merge into a cohesive frame. Larger rose motifs emphasize the corner areas. Cream-colored areas provide light accents, while darker rose-brown contours bring the drawing into relief. The open spaces between medallion and edging give the pattern room and contribute to a balanced overall effect. With 215 × 120 cm this Oriental rug can be placed versatilely, for example in front of a sofa, in the bedroom, or in a reading nook. Against light upholstery fabrics, wooden furniture and accessories in rose or green, a harmonious overall impression arises.
