Charles Vyse Chelsea Pottery Figurine, The Picadilly Rose Woman
An English ceramic figurine, dated 1922. The piece depicts an elderly flower seller seated behind a large wicker basket filled with colorful roses, wearing a dark hat, patterned blouse, purple shawl, and white apron. The base features a blue underglaze mark consisting of two crossed lines forming a V-shape above a vertical line, flanked by the numbers 19 and 22, with the word CHELSEA printed below. The Whitley's Auctioneers circular black and white adhesive label bearing the letter W is also present on the underside. Dimensions: 8"W x 8.5"H Weight: 2.2 lb.
