Kirin "11" Crown from the Final Year of Kuang-hsu CHINA. Kirin. 7 Mace 2 Candareens (Dollar), CD (1908). Kirin Mint. Kuang-hsu (Guangxu). PCGS Genuine--Repaired, EF Details. L&M-579; K-573; KM-Y-183C; WS-0541; Wenchao-539 (rarity: ★★★). Despite the noted repair in the fields, this late imperial "Dragon" Dollar displays very little in the way of actual wear and offers an appealing appearance across both sides. Some burnished gray notes are evident nearer the peripheries, and the distinctive 11 at the center of the characters side, indicative of a devaluation in that it traded at the rate of 11 Jiao, rather than 10, makes this a GREAT RARITY that cannot be missed by the advanced collectors of this popular mint. Estimate: $30,000 - $45,000. Provenance: From the MC Collection (陳氏家族集藏). To view all items from the MC Collection (陳氏家族集藏), click here. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
