CHINA. Kwangtung. 7.3 Candareens (10 Cents), ND (1889). Kwangtung

Stunning Specimen Striking of the "Reversed" 7.3 Candareens CHINA. Kwangtung. 7.3 Candareens (10 Cents), ND (1889). Kwangtung Mint (struck from Heaton Mint dies). Kuang-hsu (Guangxu). PCGS SPECIMEN-61. L&M-126; K-19; KM-Y-195; WS-0934; Wenchao-555 (rarity: ★★★). Surpassed in the PCGS census by just four others, this elevated survivor from a failed series remains ceaselessly popular with collectors. Already of GREAT RARITY, the present example is made that much more desirable on account of its specimen strike status, rather than circulation strike. Fully glistening and resounding, it shimmers with tremendous opulence and all the elegant crispness that one would demand from a superior product of Heaton mint dies. Without a doubt, the finest example of the type that we have offered, and one that should generate great interest and enthusiasm. Estimate: $20,000 - $40,000.
