CHINA. Silver 50 Cents Pattern, Year 3 (1914). Tientsin Mint. PCGS SPECIMEN-50.

Wondrous Minor Pattern with Giorgi's Signature CHINA. Silver 50 Cents Pattern, Year 3 (1914). Tientsin Mint. PCGS SPECIMEN-50. L&M-68; K-655A; KM-Pn27; WS-0170; Wenchao-861 (rarity: ★★★). Variety with "L. GIORGI" signature. Though displaying some slight wear across the higher points, this amber-gray specimen still offers the crisp and sharp detailing that one would associate with its specimen strike status. Of note, one can even see the eyelash on Yuan Shih-kai's right eye, which resides mostly behind the top of his nose, as well as the artist's signature behind his back. Pleasingly without issue, and one that retains a fair amount of glistening brilliance among the fields. As such, an EXCEPTIONAL RARITY for the connoisseur of the series. Estimate: $30,000 - $45,000.
