Collection of English Heraldic Crested Porcelain Souvenir Miniatures

A collection of five early 20th-century English heraldic crested porcelain miniatures representing various ancient vessels. The group includes a puzzle jug with the City of London coat of arms and a verse regarding the skill required to fill it; two vessels of varying form with the arms of Bury St Edmunds and Oban; a Pompeian vessel form; and an ancient lamp form. Decorations consist of multi-colored transfer-printed coats of arms and gilt-edged rims. Marks include a green printed crown over Albion China, a circular black printed mark for Albion China Made in England, and a printed mark reading 87 Shelley China Late Foley Model of Pompeian Vessel in Burslem Museum Manufactured for J. Muggleton 6 & 7 Great Western Arcade Birmingham. The lamp form is marked with a black eagle over W.H. Goss Model of Ancient Lamp Found at Lake Clay Pits Hamworthy, Poole Rd No 489579.
