The Tsogho mask (or Mitsogho) is a traditional mask of Gabon, associated with the Mitsogho people. Material: usually wood, sometimes with pigments, fibers or attached elements. Style: face often stylized, with a strong geometrization of features. Function: it could take part in ritual and initiatory ceremonies, notably in the Bwiti context, a spiritual tradition very important among the Mitsogho.
