French 19th Century Onyx and Ormolu Mounted Centerpiece with Champleve
A fine French handled onyx centerpiece, 19th century, of oval form, raised on ormolu feet and mounted with a richly chased ormolu border. The center inset with a vibrant champleve enamel medallion decorated in the Chinoiserie taste, featuring floral motifs on a turquoise ground with gilt highlights. A refined decorative object exemplifying the luxurious craftsmanship of the French Belle Epoque.
