The Work: The work represents a refined still life with a strong metaphysical and surreal character. The composition, executed with glazes of watercolor and gouache on sepia tones and neutral gray, depicts in the foreground two cylindrical elements/glasses and an egg, dominated in the center by a suspended apple in space. The suspended atmosphere and the formal rigor recall the evocative visual explorations of postwar Metaphysical painting. His works, including oil paintings, frescoes and watercolors, are kept in private collections and in public and religious buildings of the Tuscan territory. Conditions and Presentation: The work presents in excellent condition inside its original mounting. It is framed with a light mat that enhances its tones and protected by glass inside a beautiful gilded wooden frame. The painting comes from my personal collection. Ready to hang.
