(x) Great Britain Postal History Express Mail 1891-1955 a small selection of Express mail with a group of Railway including 1901 (27 Nov.) long envelope from Blackfriars to Maidstone bearing QV Jubilee 4d. and South Eastern & Chatham Railway 2d. endorsed "Per Special Train Service. Per 11.57 from London Bridge Deliver at once"; undated envelope to Edinburgh bearing KEVII 4d. and North British Railway Company 2d. and five later Express railway letters with L.N.E.R. parcel labels; also 1891 (28 Aug.) envelope from Manchester to Bradford bearing 1d. lilac and Jubilee 2d. tied by Manchester duplex, endorsed "Express delivery 1.30 Mail Received 3:35 pm" and with "post office./express" label. A fine group. Subject to 5% tax on Hammer Price in addition to 20% VAT on Buyer’s Premium.
