Hong Kong Covers

Hong Kong Covers 1843 (15 June) Forbes correspondence stampless entire letter from U.S.A. to Canton per "Steiglitz", bearing oval handstamp Hong Kong Post Office Royal Arms in its worn state in 1843. Dr. Andrew Cheung recorded 87 examples of the Royal Arms on incoming and outgoing covers between 1842 - 1843 and this is illustrated as figure 16 (HKPS Journal 5). Among the known letters, most of them are outgoing. Incoming examples are rare!
