HONG KONG (SAR). Chartered Bank of India, Australia, & China. 10 Dollars

HONG KONG (SAR). Chartered Bank of India, Australia, & China. 10 Dollars, 1.8.1929. P-50. KNB26. PMG Very Fine 20. A pleasing example of this large size 10 Dollars issued from 1911 until 1929. An immensely popular note and part of what local collectors nickname the 'Scenic' notes, issued by all three banks between 1909 and 1960 (if we extend this to the large size Mercantile $ 100 note as well). This note has undergone considerable circulation, as the grade would suggest, and is found with a single annotation at the upper left corner of the reverse and multiple minor tears. A decent, original, untampered vintage note. PMG Comments "Tears."

Estimate:$1,000
