Italian Giltwood Barometer & Thermometer Gilt carved wood and hand painted frame having a lyre form at crest, medallion inscribed in French with conditions of "Storm / Rain/ Rain or Wind / Variable / Fair / Fine / Very Dry", marked "Lufft / Made in Germany" to barometer dial. Note: Lufft is a German company founded in 1881 that manufactures weather measuring instruments. Approximate dimensions: Overall: 35 x 18 3/4 x 2 3/4 in. (88.9 x 47.6 x 7 cm.)
