Japanese Edo Period Calligraphy Fan Leaf

A Japanese fan leaf (senmen) featuring ink calligraphy on paper, dating to the Edo period. The leaf consists of a single-sided paper substrate formerly detached from a folding fan frame, displaying vertical columns of cursive script (sosho) and hentaigana. The dark ink brushwork is arranged in five fluid lines, with the far-left column including the character for wave (nami). The paper ground shows a patinated metallic border along the upper and lower edges, likely aged gold leaf, and retains original horizontal fold creases and impressions of fan ribs on the reverse. Dimensions: 18"W x 8"H Weight: 1 oz. Condition Request Condition Report Good
