Japanese Ink Wash on Paper Dragonfly Hanging Scroll

Japanese hanging scroll or kakejiku featuring a minimalist ink wash composition on paper. The work depicts a dragonfly in flight beneath a gestural circular form executed in varying ink tones. The painting is mounted on a primary dark blue textile border with a small floral pattern, flanked by green fabric panels with gold-thread floral motifs. The scroll is finished with black lacquered wooden roller ends. The lower left of the painting bears a handwritten signature in black ink, including the character for bamboo or Take, followed by an illegible cursive character. To the right of the signature is a red oval cinnabar seal with two stylized characters that are not clearly legible.
