The work is rendered with expressive brushwork and impasto highlights on the clothing and hair. Housed in an imposing heavily carved and gilded wood frame with ornate foliate and shell motifs. The verso shows a natural linen canvas support with a handwritten inscription on the lower stretcher reading For Debby, Love Mom and a partial label from the Schramm Galleries Ltd Co. in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
