Leica Elmarit-R 19mm f/2.8 (11258) - with 12546...

This barely used, like-new Leica Elmarit-R 19 mm Version II (serial number 11258) comes complete with hood (12546), leather case and original papers and box. Also usable with adapters for L-mount and M. Notably, because of the built-in filter revolver with four filters – including orange and yellow/green – the lens is ideal for use on the Leica Monochrom. Focusing operates smoothly, with the compact lens not changing length. Optically a marvel of engineering and progressiveness – this Mandler design has a floating element – and a big leap forward compared to the bulky Version I. The minimum focusing distance is only thirty centimeters. Logically, this highly sought-after lens is in demand among collectors and users alike. The latter also attest that they own an heirloom, where the 19 mm focal length, for those who dare to use it, opens up photographerically interesting avenues in landscape, architecture and reportage. With serial number 3503653, this lens dates from 1990, the first year of production.
