Manuscript Tehillim on Parchment, Written in Gold Letters. Moravia, 1815–1816.

The entire Book of Psalms handwritten on parchment in gold letters. Magnificent illustrated title page in gold lettering. The date on the title page is 1816 , while the colophon is dated 1815. The upper portion of the title page features a depiction of a Rosh Chodesh feast, while the lower portion depicts King David playing the violin. Following the title page is a leaf listing the 36 donors who contributed toward the writing of the Psalms. Among them are R. Pinchas ben Yaakov Leib Katz Steger; R. Hersh Leib ben Yisrael Herzog; R. Wolf ben Shlomo König; R. Baruch ben Kapel Grünwald; and R. Chaim Wolf ben Avraham Hersh Lindner, among others. The opening of the Psalms is enclosed within a colorful illustrated border. At the end of the manuscript appear the order of prayers for a woman experiencing a difficult childbirth, prayers for deliverance from enemies, a prayer for the sick, and a prayer for the cessation of rainfall. The colophon records the donation of the distinguished officer Yosef, son of the distinguished officer Shlomo König, for his son Ezriel and his wife, the esteemed Hindel, daughter of Aharon Ber Segal of Trebitsch. 1815. 32, [2] leaves. 69 written pages. 28 cm. book
