Marc Chagall (Russian/French, 1887-1985) Mourlot Freres Lithograph

This 1957 original color lithograph by Marc Chagall (1887-1985), titled Le Concert, is a scarce double-page centerfold edition printed by Mourlot Freres and published in Paris by Maeght Editeur for Derriere le Miroir (No. 99-100). The lithograph showcases Chagall's signature poetic style, featuring fluid, expressive black line work floating beautifully over soft, atmospheric washes of green, yellow, orange, and blue. A central figure resting in a boat-like form plays a harp, completely enveloped by a dense, swirling arrangement of spectral faces and figures set against a prominent yellow sun and a green celestial orb. As an authentic double-page print (Mourlot 176), the sheet features a clean vertical centerfold line that is an industry-standard indicator of its original publication format, making it an excellent collector's piece. Housed in a double mat with a linen-textured inner mat and a gilt-and-silver-toned frame. Sight size: 20.5"W x 13"H. Artist: Marc Chagall (Russian/French, 1887-1985) Dimensions: 28"W x 21"H Date or Era: 1957 Country of Origin: France Weight: 8.3 lb. Condition Request Condition Report Good
