MEDSAN - Totoro and the Goldfish Bowl (トトロと金魚鉢) - UNIQUE WORK

THERE IS ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD - EDITION 1/1 In this square format, Medsan places Totoro, the great forest spirit from Hayao Miyazaki's My Neighbor Totoro, Studio Ghibli, in a flowery armchair in the middle of a Japanese-style living room. Tucked up straight, claws resting on the edge of the seat, hind legs stretched out in front, he looks straight ahead with his round eyes, serious. Next to him, on a dark red small table, a round jar holds three goldfish. Around him, crossbar sliding panels let a pinkish light pass through, and one of them is wide open onto a garden teeming with blue, green, and ochre leaves. Against the wall a blue folding screen with pink flowers unfolds, green plants grow in white pots decorated with blue, and a red and blue floral rug runs up to a striped cushion. The palette features coral, pink, ultramarine blue, and vivid green. Totoro looks like a guest patiently waiting for tea. A joyful, colorful space, ideal to bring a gentle touch to a contemporary collector’s Ghibli-inspired interior.
