Mézenc Late Summer - Anne Baudequin

Mézenc Late Summer by Anne Baudequin Painting 36.2 x 23.6 :: Landscape of Auvergne France. The Massif du Mézenc. A warm day at the end of summer. In the shade of the pine trees the still heavy air is fragrant with resin drawn from the bark by the sun. Between their trunks the view opens up to the valley below: vast meadows russet from the long summer and woods of a deeper more secretive green. The small path snaking its way down there is more than just a memory of the herds and people who walked this land before me. It leads somewhere connecting humanity to the majestic solitude of these high plateaus. Far away the peaks those old sleeping volcanoes are faded in a blue haze until they are almost immaterial. This is a landscape that evokes a slower time the rhythm of the seasons and tranquility. The white finish of the sides of the canvas allows you to hang it without a frame if you wish. :: Type: Painting Medium: Oil Style: Impressionist Subject: Landscape Width: 36.2 Height: 23.6 Depth: 0.8 Weight: 2.2 lbs Framed: no :: All art on Zatista is original and signed.
