Natural Chocolate Opals, Fossil Leaf Fronds & Australian Opal in Bell

Eastern Africa, Ethiopia, Australia, & North America, ca. millions of years ago. A collection of assorted fossils and mineral specimens, including two large fossilized leaf frond fragments and two smaller fragments preserving linear plant impressions. Also included is a small glass bell jar with cork, intended for viewing a raw Australian white quartz stone with opalized areas, it is best appreciated when submerged in water to enhance clarity and color. Completing the group are two chocolate opals, polished to reveal their warm tones and natural translucency, with portions of the original matrix still intact along the edges.
