Stunning hand-polished natural petrified wood bowl from Indonesia. It features an amazing, unique pattern with vibrant shades of brown, yellow, and orange. Perfect for use in any room around the house. Petrified wood, also known as agatised wood, forms when a tree dies and silicon dioxide forms in place of the wood, gradually decaying until no wood remains, only quartz. It works with the Root and Third Eye chakras to bring wonderful healing energies to both physical and emotional concerns. Many people like petrified wood for its ancient energies and its extravagant texture as well as intense colors, to connect with the energies of the Earth. Petrified wood teaches us patience and helps us understand how life can unfold in perfection. Petrified wood encourages people to respect and honor their environment, always finding ways to live simply, in harmony with the spirit of the planet. Carry petrified wood with you when you feel detached from nature. Stone: Petrified Wood Weight: 4182.15 g Size: 270x220x44mm Treatment: None Origin: Indonesia It is fossil wood dating back about 200 million years; all parts of a log or branches have been silicified, meaning that organic components were gradually replaced by silicon in the form of jasper, chalcedony and more rarely opal. Without the organic parts, all living matter was replaced by stone: there are growth rings, cell separations, almost like worm cracks. Its features are those of the mineral that would have pseudo-transformed the wood: the silicon. And that’s what we call a "petrified wood" in common language. The disclaimer about the healing properties as previously given : It is believed that certain gemstones and minerals have beneficial health and spiritual properties.
