Nearly Invisible Waters by Patricia Ariel Painting 12.0 x 12.0 :: Medium: Mixed media (acrylics oil cold wax) on paper mounted on stretched canvas Dimensions: 12 x 12 inches Year of completion: 2023 Artist’s signature in the back with monogram in the front. Ships unmatted and unframed. Certificate of authenticity included. The works in the “Rites” series explore the concept of transmutation and the beauty of imperfection. The idea of order and purity is replaced by the exploration of the frailty of being human but also its capability of regeneration and reconstruction. The pieces are deliberately maculated with tears cuts and scrapes of paint and sanded down to create holes and crevices thus creating more tactile spots with materials like gesso cold wax and paper. The textures and flaws that emerge from that process are reworked or enhanced creating new avenues of dialogue with the work. :: Type: Painting Medium: Oil Style: Contemporary Subject: Figures & Portraits Width: 12.0 Height: 12.0 Depth: 3.4 Weight: 1 lbs Framed: no :: All art on Zatista is original and signed. Photography and digital works are signed numbered limited editions. :: Purchases on Zatista are guaranteed by our 100% Buyer Guarantee.
