New Tydol Gasoline Service Station Banner

Made in U.S.A. 1932. Lithographed cloth. Tide Water Oil Company produced this "New Tydol" canvas service station banner to market its high-performance fuel line. It highlights its famous "Electric Ear" laboratory test, an early sound-based marketing campaign designed to prove the gasoline eliminated harsh engine knocking. The striking Art Deco graphics feature a stylized "winged motorist”. Marked, "Grinnell Litho N.Y." lower edge. All items are guaranteed authentic by Miller & Miller Auctions. All purchases are eligible for free delivery to the Winter 2026 Dixie Gas Show on December 4th. From the Barry Yorgason Collection.
