In the foreground, a clear and luminous path winds through a lush carpet of flowers and lavender in vibrant hues of violet, gold, orange and pink. On the left, a stone house nestled under the cool shade of a large tree blends harmoniously into this bucolic scene. Sumptuous, lofty cypresses guide the eye toward the majestic blue mountain rising in the background beneath a sky of pure azure. A warm, luminous, and deeply restorative canvas. The technique: Entirely executed in acrylic with a painting knife on canvas marouflaged on a wooden panel. The richness and vigor of the material sculpted with the knife bring exceptional relief to the vegetation, the path, and the foliage of the trees, powerfully capturing the dynamism of Provençal light. The Artist: With more than 25 years of professional career (established since 2001, first exhibition in 1992), NOLAC (1970) is an accomplished artist. Her knife-work is her signature, combining the force of gesture with poetic finesse. She now embraces a freer and more instinctive interpretation of the landscape, skimming a luminous and expressive abstraction. Amenities: Unique artwork, direct from her studio, signed, varnished.
