PAIR OF ROUND PLATES FEATURING COATS OF ARMS
made of silver, with a contoured fillet design. The reverse sides are each engraved with the same inscription: MENZA ESCA. Madrid, 1792. Silversmith: Real Fábrica de Platería Martínez. The wings were subsequently engraved with the combined coats of arms of Louis Patas d’Illiers and his wife, née Marcelle Ouvré de Saint-Quentin (who married in 1912), beneath a marquis’s crown. Diameter: 25.3 cm . Weight: 990 g.
