Schiotz Tonometer, 1955 - improved model - RVs

Schioetz tonometer from 1955, the improved model in its original box. Schiøtz was a Norwegian ophthalmologist who developed this device to measure eye pressure. It was used for many years in the 20th century. The set has a built-in base weight of 5.5 grams and comes with loose weights of 7.5 and 10 grams. A zero‑test block is included as well as the original 1955 conversion table and a certificate of 'accuracy'. This model is also on display at the Optometry Museum in Australia.
