Set of 3 Collectible Sea Urchin Tests Sea shell - Paracentrotus lividus

Set of 3 Collectible Sea Urchin Tests – Paracentrotus lividus, Colobocentrotus atratus & Coelopleurus maculatus A beautiful collector’s set composed of three natural sea urchin tests, selected for their distinctive coloration, surface structure and characteristic pentaradial symmetry. The green specimen is Paracentrotus lividus, displaying a rounded profile with an olive-green surface densely covered with pale tubercles arranged in regular radial series. Its coloration and finely textured surface give the test a particularly natural and elegant appearance. The purple specimen is Colobocentrotus atratus, distinguished by its compact rounded form and intense violet coloration. The numerous dark rounded tubercles contrast strongly with the lighter radial bands, creating a highly graphic and visually striking surface. The smallest specimen is Coelopleurus maculatus, immediately recognizable for its exceptionally vivid natural coloration. Intense orange-red areas alternate with lavender-purple and white radial bands, while the prominent pale tubercles create a jewel-like contrast across the entire test. The three specimens are presented together in a collector’s box with a dark background, allowing the different colors, textures and skeletal structures to be appreciated side by side. Purple Colobocentrotus atratus: 4.6 × 4.2 × 2.1 cm Green Paracentrotus lividus: 4.5 × 4.4 × 2.3 cm Red, white and purple Coelopleurus maculatus: 3.6 × 3.6 × 2.1 cm An attractive small collection combining three different echinoid species, each with its own distinctive morphology, coloration and decorative character.
