Ship's telegraph - Chadburns Liverpool & London - Brass...

Offered heavy brass ship's telegraph (Engine Order Telegraph) in the style of the iconic manufacturer Chadburns Liverpool & London. Vintage example presumably from the 1970s. This impressive nautical object is executed as a double-sided telegraph on a stand and converted/designed as a unique ship lamp. When the lamp is switched on, the detailed dials (Full, Half, Slow, Dead Slow, Stand By, Stop, Astern) illuminate with a warm, nostalgic glow. Inside there is a mechanical bell and gear system. Both on the lever, the housing, and the base the number mark 34 is stamped. The whole sits firmly on a wooden plateau and is equipped with a power cord with a convenient on/off switch. A beautiful focal point for a nautical interior, office, mancave or collection! Specifications & Details Object: Ship's telegraph / table lamp Brand / Inscription: Chadburns – Liverpool & London Material: Brass (yellow brass), wood. Numbering: Stamped with number 34 on various components Dimensions: Height: 53 cm Weight: approx. 6.5 kg Condition: In good, working condition with some age- and use-related marks on the brass that give the piece character.
