Specially Bound Limited Edition; it includes "Fish Hawk", a drawing done in 1933 for a proposed edition of Thoreau's "Walden, Or Life in the Woods", and which is here produced for the first time and is SIGNED by Thoreau MacDonald; this Edition is limited to 100 copies of which this is Number 87; the book is also SIGNED and INSCRIBED by the the author Margaret Edison on the front free end paper and dated June 1973; her inscription reads to "_____ With appreciation of your interest in the making of this book"'; light brown publisher's cloth; lettering in gilt on spine; 190 pages including 4 pages of MacDonald's Exhibitions, and 6 pages of References to his works in Print, and an Index of 6 pages; complete with issued clear mylar dust jacket; Thoreau MacDonald, ( 1901-1989) son of Group of Seven artist, J.E.H. MacDonald, was himself an artist, illustrator, graphic artist and book designer; he worked malnly in black and white due to his being colour blind.
