Two Middle Eastern Marquetry and Mother of Pearl Inlaid Boxes

The larger hexagonal box is ornamented with mother of pearl and dark wood tesserae in hexagonal star motifs, finished with a dark reddish-brown stained base and a tan flocked interior. The smaller rectangular box features a dark wood ground with a central diamond-shaped khatam mosaic medallion and cream-colored triangular natural material borders.
