If you would be so kind as to include this little note in the next letter you write to our brave Marshal, I would be most grateful. He has always treated me with the utmost kindness. Since February, I have tried many times to see him and to show him that I am not ungrateful. Please convey this to him clearly, so that he may know through you that I remain sincerely devoted to him; we have missed him—oh, how we have missed him! Yours sincerely.” 1 p., in-8°.
