Vide poche - Unique handmade piece - Morocco - Root Oval Valet Tray

An exquisite 100% handcrafted oval display and valet tray, shaped from the prized subterranean root of Moroccan Atlas Thuya (Tetraclinis articulata). Designed to showcase the organic brilliance of high-grade timber, this piece combines decorative grace with utilitarian functionality for a coffee table, console, or executive desk. Raw Timber & Handcrafted Details: Hypnotic "Ramage" & Root Figure: The central reserve features an undulating landscape of tight growth rings, swirling golden flames, and dense eyelet figuring unique to slow-grown root burls. Segmented Raised Gallery: The curved rim is hand-assembled using selected Thuya staves, forming an elevated border that frames the natural grain while offering an easy, comfortable grip. Aromatic Natural Luster: Hand-buffed to a warm, tactile sheen without thick artificial resins, releasing the characteristic balsamic and cedar-like fragrance celebrated in authentic Moroccan Thuya. A Piece of History: Originating from the medina workshops of Essaouira, this tray illustrates the legacy of generational woodworking where each curve honors the natural flow of the root. Perfect as an elegant vide-poche for fine jewelry, timepieces, or cherished pocket accessories. A unique opportunity for collectors of authentic, handmade artifacts.
