William Oaks Drake Canvasback Decoy.

Port Dover, Ontario, Canada. 2nd Quarter 20th Century. William Oakes work is often mistaken for the work of the Reeves family however the bill & mandible carving as well as the neck seat differ from Reeves decoys. Oakes worked at the famed Long Point Company for a time alongside Reeves family members. Hot branded, "H.S.M" on bottom twice for Henry Sage Morgan LPC shareholder 1931-1981.
