Worcester porcelain Fancy Birds cup & saucer, c. 1765.
A fine Worcester porcelain Fancy Birds cup and saucer, c. 1765. Each piece beautifully hand painted in vibrant enamels, with exotic birds in fan shaped panels, divided by circular panels containing insects. The saucer with a central panel painted with a large moth. Finely drawn gilt floral sprays adorn the ‘Wet Blue’ ground of both pieces.
