Iittala

Iittala is a Finnish design company producing glas and ceramics. It was founded in 1881 in the village of Iittala by Swedish Petrus Magnus Abrahamsson. A vast number of artist and designers has worked for Iittala during the years. Alvar Alto, Gunnel Nyman, Antonio Citterio, Timo Sarpaneva Oiva Toikka and Tapio Wirkkala are a few examples of this. The production spans from high quality art glass to functional everyday glassware. Examples of popular series is ”Kastelhelmi”, ”Festivo” and ”Ultima Thule”
